A little piece of paradise exists in Chiangmai. That's my view after spending five nights at PJ's. A lovely garden setting, very comfortable and spacious rooms, excellent hosts in Peter and Jiab - what more could one ask for? Oh, and yes, being met at the airport and being taken back to the airport.
Plus, Peter and Jiab were always willing to chat with me and provide advice if requested. A fantastic place to stay at. PS - Jiab does lovely ironing!

Highly recommend PJ's!

When my husband and I decided to take my elderly mum to visit Pete (my brother) in Chiang Mai it was to be a trip of a lifetime (and our first visit to Thailand). On arriving and sitting in the tropical gardens which surrounded the guest house I have never felt so calm and relaxed in months. The rooms were luxurious and clean and much larger than I imagined. Jiab took us shopping, we visited various factories and craft centres for silver, leather, paper, and of course the beautiful temples. I even went to "monk-chat" although my husband called it "viv-chat". We are still on a "high" from our visit which will certainly not be our last. Thank you Pete and Jiab, for a wonderful time! Viv x

I returned to Chiang Mai for a visit mid June 2009. It had been a couple of years since i stayed at PJs Place and was very pleased to find that the very high standards set two years ago were every bit as high on my recent 3 day stay. The garden area had changed and was more mature and even more exotic than before.
The room was immaculate and the service excellent as usual. Peter and Jeab were as helpful and friendly as always and once again I very much enjoyed my stay there. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Chiang Mai that is for sure.

I stayed in PJs in March/April 2009 for nine days and i felt there very good. PJs is not far away from the hotspots, but it is a place where you can really relax (very Quiet and calm). The rooms are very clean, the discret room service is perfect, and if you have any problem you can ask Peter (british) and Jiap (thai) for solutions.
Maybe you pay some baht more than in some other guesthouses, but sure it is worth.

I have just returned from Chiang Mai and a week's stay at PJ's. I've been to Chiang Mai 3 times before but this has been without doubt my most favourite stay. Thank you so much to Peter and Jiab for being such wonderful hosts. I don't usually travel well on my own but they made my stay so enjoyable and friendly and they offered great advise. I booked into a suite and I recommend this for those who would like a little bit extra from their stay. Breakfast was great and the boys provided such great service with genuine smiles.

PS. if you get a chance I highly recommend a traditional thai massage. They can be easily booked through the guesthouse. You will never give a better 2 hours for your tired muscles!

P & J thank you once again!
Nino, London.

Dear Peter & Jiab,

Greetings from Sunny Singapore!

First and foremost, we would like to thank you for the memorable time in Chiang Mai. Our stay with you was unforgettable as you guys have the most beautiful 'little' place that we called home for 5 days (9th-13th March 2009). Your guesthouse is your pride and joy, that we are able to see from the moment we take a step into your paradise. There were times that we didn't even want to leave the compound as lazing in the room or garden really makes us feel at home.

We will be sending some pictures of our 'dream' home to you soon and we will also recommend your paradise guesthouse to all our friends on Facebook and Singapore!

We will be Back!

Thank you Peter & Jiab !

I have just completed a month travelling around Thailand on my own...my final stop was Chiang Mai--and a good friend had recommended that I stay at PJ's.

When I arrived, I immediately felt 'at home'...Peter & Jiab went out of their way to make me feel welcome and comfortable.

Because of my short stay in CM (4 days), I asked Jiab to set up several tours to give me a sense of the history, culture & scenery of Chiang Mai--he was very professional and his knowledge of the area and his pride of his homeland were outstanding !

I am already starting to plan a return visit and I will definitely be staying at PJ's again !

You havenīt been in Thailand if you havenīt been in Chiang Mai and you haven`t been in Chiang Mai if you havenīt been staying at PJs Place.
It really is a guest house - not just a hotel. You feel like being at home with best friends. Jiab and Peter and the staff was very friendly and they gave full attentions to your needs. The place is beautiful designed with small fountains in the garden between the little guesthouses. Jiab has created this little paradise in harmony with Feng Shui philosophy.
We had a fantastic time there and we are longing to return soon. Big hug from Jerry and Lars

This was my second visit to Thailand and to PJ's in particular. I very much enjoyed my visit last year and this year was even better. Peter and Jiab were excellent hosts and provided a very warm and inviting stay in Chiang Mai. From the moment I was met at the airport by Jiab, to the moment I sadly left I felt a part of the PJ family. Many people regularly return here time after time and you will discover why if you decide to stay here. Above everything else, Peter and Jiab are very nice guys and this is reflected in the warmth of their welcome and service.
I look forward to my certain return

We were very pleased that we had chosen PJ's Place to stay at for our first visit to Chiang Mai. We had been impressd with the website and the comments of other guests and we were not in the least disappointed. The high calibre of the accommodation and the courteous and efficient service were a delight. The garden proved to be a haven of tranquility - ideal for just relaxing with a book or a gin and tonic ( or both ). Many thanks Peter and Jiab for helping to make our time in Chiang Mai memorable

I have just departed Chiang Mai after a very pleasant few days staying at Peter and Jiabs guesthouse. I usually avoid gay hotels as more often than not a premium is charged for being gay focused and a less than acceptable level of accomodation and service provided. If you are heading to this lovely city I would strongly urge you to stay here. The level of accomodation AND service is first class in all respects. Additional to this is the range of tours Jiab, a certified Tour Guide has on offer and the one I took was both memorable and enjoyable due to the personalised service given to the 3 of us. Location is greta; nice and quiet yet easy to access all places of interest gay and otherwise. Nearbye is a nice little bar called Soho and if you just want a drink and friendly chat with the locals without the bar boys intrusive attention, this is a welcome change fom the usual. If you seek a bargain basement place to stay price wise and enjoy the attention of in-house bar boys this is not the place for you. Top marks Peter and Jiab and thank you for providing a haven of exceptional quality - I will be back!

I just returned from a 7 week trip to Southeast Asia. One of the highlights of my trip was the time I spent at PJ's in Chiang Mai. The Guesthouse is close to everything and yet is removed enough that it is a "little bit of heaven". Nothing has been overlooked to make your stay memorable. From the time Jiab picked me up at the airport until he took me back to the airport he and Peter made me feel like family. Not just another guest! They are both know the area well and are able to make recommendations based on your interests. Everything is included in the one fee and there are no surprises. In addition to being a great place to stay, PJ's is great value for the money. You cannot do better in Chiang Mai.

Thanks guys for a wonderfulstay.
My hosts and the great assistants made my stay very comfortable and yet it was exciting.
Don't miss the TIGER KINGDOM which made me so happy- actually playing with real tigers and also cubs.
The Elephant camp was also great - don't miss the rocky ride! - and the death-defying drive up. Many beautifultemples and the Lent Procession. Not to forget "Mr Big" and his talentedhands at Cheeva. A lovey garden and attentive service with all assistance for my slight disability
Thanks to all for your kindness.
