It was an utmost pleasure staying at PJ's last September. I was a flight attendant for 30 years and spent 3 decades of my life staying in various hotels in 60 countries worldwide. If there's one thing I learned, it's to expect the worst to avoid frustration and disappointment. This, however, is my personal comment: "BEYOND EXPECTATIONS"
At first I presumed the interior designer of the rooms was an ex flight attendant. All essential points concerning practicality, convenience and comfort were thought of, nothing was left out. The small and fine details, not to mention the hygienic and sanitary perfection, I am half Japanese and was brought up to be peculiar and sensible when it comes to cleanliness and hygiene, all these rounded up my stay to be perfect. I often see things critically, but I guess and I do admit there is no reason to be critical at PJ's Guesthouse. I would like to express my gratitude for making me feel at home far away from my home. Thank you

Over the years I have holidayed in Chiang Mai,I have always stayed at Pjs 5x a boutique holiday resort. I would not consider staying anywhere else. The owners Peter & Jeab are so helpful.
The rooms are of the highest standard and scrupulously clean with all the amenities..I have stayed there on 5 occasions and this time iI was very lucky to be upgraded to a upstairs and downstairs suite. They arranged extra accommodation for my driver at no extra cost and even provided a substantial English breakfast for a friend at no extra cost
Thank you Peter & Jeab. I will be back

This February was the third time my Chinese friend and I have been to Chiang mai and each time we have stayed at PJ's. This is the nicest place we have stayed at in our travels around Asia. Peter and Jiab make everyone feel so welcome. Tours can be arranged and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are comfortable, the garden is nice and everything is very clean.
Thank you Peter and Jiab.

For many years I'm doing my holiday in Thailand. Every time another place, another hotel, on the other hosts. This time I was in Chiang Mai when Peter and Jiab. My sitting during the two has exceeded expectations.
Peter and Jiab have understood how to deal with guests. Here is the guest really a king.
Perfect service. Help and Supports every day and nighttime. You can contact Jiab with each problem, he always looking the solution.
Tours he organized simply unique and always correspond to the wish of the gastes.
The rooms are beautiful and very clean.
I will never forget this vacation.
Thank you Peter and Jiab FOR ALL

We spent a very relaxing and enjoyable 6 days at PJs Place at the end of September. This was our second visit to Chiang Mai but first to PJs. From the moment Jiab met us at the airport to when he dropped us off again six days later nothing was too much trouble. We went on a number of tours with Jiab and we enjoyed every one of them. From the peaceful location, the quality of the rooms, the service at breakfast and the friendliness of all the staff we could not fault PJs Place on anything. Thanks to Jiab, Peter and the boys for a great visit. We are already planning our next visit for 2014!

This is THE place to stay in Chiang Mai. This is my second time in 6 years and it has gotten better. The setting is perfect being very clean and quiet and close to so much. Dang and Pa add their charm while performing their duties and warm interactions. But it's Jiab and Peter who really offer the concierge service offering so much while creating a very safe and quiet haven. I will definitely return and highly encourage all to give it a try. THE BEST. Dale

I spent five nights at PJs and had the most perfect time. Peter and Jiab, Daeng (sp?)and Pa were kind, thoughtful and attentive. The rooms are beautiful, spacious and immaculate with meticulous attention to detail. For example; an umbrella and flashlight placed neatly on the shelf next to the mini-bar in case you should need them. The room has a very good big firm bed, a strong shower, a writing desk, a sitting area, coffee and tea making equipment, a safe, a wardrobe, etc. There is a wittily designed and well cared for garden with a fountain and a swing. A delicious breakfast is cooked to order every morning. Laundry service is good and affordable. Both Peter and Jiab had interesting suggestions for restaurants, reliable massages and tips about both the usual and unusual sights to see. The other guests were congenial, many of them repeat visitors and were fun to chat with at breakfast. The location is very good, down a quiet soi but within a 3 minute walk to several good restaurants and a wine bar. Trendy Nimmanhaeman road is a longer but manageable walk away and a mall with a Central Department store is nearby. The old city is only a 10 minute walk. Tuk tuks are readily available and cost from 60 to 120 baht. The whole experience was so charming.

Another wonderful visit to PJs'. There really is nowhere else I would consider staying in Chiang Mai. From the moment you arrive until the time that you depart, Peter and Jiab will work with their staff, Deng and Pa, to ensure that your stay is everything that it could be and more.
Not only are the accommodations of a high standard, Jiab is a fully qualified tour guide who can offer a personal service unlike many of the other tour services available in the area. The personal knowledge of Jiab and Peter can help you make the most of your stay in Chiang Mai. Whilst not situated in the old city, you will find that nothing is too far away. A short tuk tuk ride will take you in to the old city or a short walk will take you to the very fashionable Nimmenhamen Road area.
There are several places to eat very nearby with a good selection of different cuisines, from Thai to Mexican, Italian to Mediterranean. You will be spoilt for choice.

PJ's is ideally situated to cater for most needs. Jiab, Peter, Dang and Pa create a family atmosphere in an elegant and beautifully maintained guesthouse surrounded by a tranquil garden. Put simply, it is an outstanding place to stay.

The phrase home-away-from-home is much used and rarely accurate, but in this case it's the simple truth. Staying at PJ's Place is like going to stay with long-time friends, only being treated like royalty. To find a properly cooked breakfast that hasn't been left to congeal on a buffet ... ah, bliss! Comfortable, tasteful, and under the care of superb hosts. Who could ask for more? We'll be back!

This is a wonderful guesthouse that is so peaceful and well kept. You will feel like you are coming home. Wonderful gardens and and an easy walk or tuk-tuk ride to anywhere in Chiang Mai. There is nothing you will need that cannot be accomodated by Peter and Jiab. Leaving PJ's was like having to say goodbye to friends.

An all-too-brief first stay (19-24 Nov '11) at the oasis of tranquility that calls itself PJ's place. On arrival at the airport, Jiab greeted me like a long-lost friend. On arrival at PJ's, Peter welcomed me warmly and offered useful, pertinent advice. The boys are polite and efficient. This home-from-home is a gem - I will return...

Chris and I have stayed at PJs several times and enjoyed it immensely each time. We especially enjoyed sitting around the lovely swimming pool consuming endless pina coladas with the pool boys addressing our every whim. Jiab is probably one of the very few natural blond Thais in Thailand. We are again headed there this next January for another memorable visit.
