Chiang Mai Heritage package
This 5 night package includes touring the archeological site of Wiang Kum Kam, Chiang Mai national museum. We will tour the city’s walls and gates; visit the temples Wat Jed Yod, Wat Suan Dok and Wat Prathet Doi Suthep along with a Hmong village. An evening dinner, Lanna style with a show of traditional dances and displays at Khum Khantoke.
Day 1
Collection from airport, welcome drink, familiarization and check in.
Day 2
After breakfast, we will visit Chiang Mai’s national museum which charts the origins and development of Chiang Mai as the capital of the Lanna kingdom and in the afternoon we will visit Wat Chet Yod before touring the city’s walls and gates. (Please note when arranging your schedules that the National Museum is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays and also on special religious days.)
Day 3
Today after breakfast we will visit the archaeological remains of Wiang Kum Kam which predated Chiang Mai but was passed over as the capital in favour of Chiang Mai because of the extensive flooding it was prone to and in the afternoon we will visit Darapirom Palace (please note this palace is closed on Mondays), a museum which was the home of the Princess Dararasmee who died in 1933, then afterwards we will visit Wat Suan Dok where the Princess had a stupa built which holds some of her remains. In the early days of the Lanna kingdom this temple was the centre of the Buddhism religion and a centre of learning for medicine, the arts and crafts .
Day 4
Today is a free day when you may wish to explore the city on your own, learn to cook Thai food, take in a massage perhaps at one of Chiang Mai’s many wellness spas or indulge in a little retail therapy! The choice is yours.
Day 5
In the morning after breakfast we will first visit Wat Prathet Doi Suthep which stands in the hills overlooking Chiang Mai. From here we will change vehicles in order to visit the Hmong hilltribe village at Doi Pui before returning to PJ’s.
In the evening we will dine at the Khum Khantoke centre for a traditional style Lanna dinner and displays of both traditional and ceremonial dancing.
Day 6
Today is free time before transferring to the airport for you onward journey.

Lunch is not included in these tours. Dinner is included at Khum Khantoke.
